“I reached out to H&M and told them this shouldn’t be happening. What can we do to fix it? Tess Holliday: I’ve done this work my entire career, even as a model. I’ve advocated and been outspoken when I felt like things could be better and should be better. I’m incredibly grateful that they actually listened to me because in my initial meeting after the mishap, I felt jaded but also hopeful. I know that it might not matter, but I’m still going to show up and try, even though there’s so much experience and evidence telling me that this will probably fail.
